## Axie Infinity
### Axp and Axie Levels
Axie Experience Point \[AXP], is an off-chain token that is gained by axies through gameplay and other various axie experiences. Initially, AXP can only be gained in Origins, but it will be available in other Axie Infinity games such as Homeland, DoLL, and more in the future.
Levels are on-chain numbers that are mapped to each Axie, while **ascension** is a mechanism where you will need to sign an on-chain transaction for an axie to advance to certain levels, at intervals of 10 levels.
### **How To Check AXP?**
In order to check your axie's AXP and level, you will need to go to [App.Axie](https://app.axieinfinity.com/) and head into your [inventory](https://app.axieinfinity.com/profile/inventory/axies/) to see your collection of axies. You will be able to see a quick overview of your axies' AXP and levels by checking out the circled number on the left side of their names.
For a detailed view of your axie's current AXP, hover to one of your axies and click on **Manage axie**.
On the Axie Progression menu, you can view when your axie gained AXP over the last 7 or 30 days. The Axie Progression Menu tracks your Axie’s level, total AXP, and daily earned AXP — all in one place.
Want to know a secret? If you hover your mouse cursor over a specific AXP bar, you can check which games or materials the axie gained AXP from.
You can also check the levels of all other axies in the [axie marketplace](https://app.axieinfinity.com/marketplace/axies/).

### **How Do My Axies Earn AXP?**
Trainers can help their axies gain AXP by playing with them through various axie experiences such as Axie Infinity: Origins. It starts as an off-chain number, and only a limited amount of AXP can be gained by each axie per day.
All axies start with a daily AXP cap of 2,000 AXP. As your axie's level increases, the daily AXP cap also increases.
#### Axie Infinity: Origins
You can use your axie and win battles in Origins daily in order for you to gain enough AXP to ascend your axies. Once your axie reaches a certain level and number of ascensions, **you may even be able to upgrade their parts to have stronger cards**. As long as the axie hasn't reached their daily AXP cap yet, your axies will get AXP from winning matches in Ranked mode.
* Your axies will get varying amounts of AXP for each win from Ranked matches \[with or without Stamina] in the Arena, depending on your rank.\
* The AXP you can gain from Origins is capped at \[level of the axie \* 1,500 AXP]. For example, a level 10 axie can earn a maximum of 15,000 AXP in Origins.
* If your axie levels up while playing, it's Origins daily AXP cap automatically increases, allowing you to continue playing with that axie.
* If your axie isn't gaining AXP even though it hasn't reached its Origins daily AXP cap yet, it's possible that the axie has already reached it's overall daily AXP cap which you can check on the axie's page in App.Axie.
* You can also earn some AXP in Arcade Mode; albeit much lower compared to Ranked. But for players who want to relax and enjoy a more casual experience while still getting some much needed AXP, Arcade Mode could be a good option!
#### Axie Infinity: Homeland
Players can assign up to 32 axies per land plot on Homeland, where their axies can earn AXP by doing various tasks. Each tasks gives a varying amount of AXP, with tasks that requires more effort/time giving more AXP.

#### Axie Infinity: Classic
Axies can also gain AXP from winning matches in Axie Classic. Just like in Origins, each axie has a cap on how much AXP they can gain from Classic per day. The AXP you can gain from Classic is capped at 12,500 AXP per day for each axie, shared between Arena, Cursed Coliseum, and Grand Tournament.
#### Project T
You can get a maximum of 5,000 AXP from doing various activities with your axie in Project T, such as training them in the Dojo, farming with them, or taking them with you while catching butterflies in the Town Square.
#### Axie Infinity: Raylights
Your axies can earn a maximum of 800 AXP per day in Raylights.
For your axies to start earning AXP, you need to meet the requirements:
* The axie should plant a 4+ layer plant to earn AXP.
* The higher the layer count, the more AXP the axie gets.
* Matching the axie with body parts that matches the plant's minerals also provides bonus AXP.
* Getting a World First also gives a massive AXP bonus.
#### Axie Sky Smash
Playing a ranked match with your axie on Sky Smash also earns AXP for your axie. Your first win daily gives out 100 AXP, while each subsequent win earns another 40 AXP, with a 3,000 AXP cap per day.
#### Axie Quest
Winning a Dojo stage or a ranked match on Axie Quest gives each of your axies in your team 500 AXP, up to a maximum of 6,000 AXP per day for each axie.
#### Axie Champions
Each axie can earn up to 1,000 AXP per day. With a full axie squad, players can grind up to 5,000 AXP for every run.
#### Tiny Drift
Earn up to 1,000 AXP/axie per day in PVE Adventure Mode.
#### Duet Monsters
Earn up to 3,000 AXP per day by winning matches with your axies in SLP Battle Mode.\
#### Axie Forge
Earn up to 1,000 AXP per day by playing with your NFT axies.
#### Coco and Premium Coco
#### 
Coco and Premium Coco are chocolate treats that axies love. You can use Coco and Premium Coco to give AXP to your axies instantly. Check our [Consumables](https://support.axieinfinity.com/hc/en-us/articles/21046641113883) article for more information on how to get Coco and how to feed them to your axies.
**Note:** *Banned axies cannot gain AXP.*
### **Ascension**
When your axies reach a certain amount of AXP, they will get an increase in their level, which is an on-chain attribute that is added to your axies. As AXP gain is off-chain, you will need to perform a transaction to sync your Axie's level on-chain at every 10 levels through a process called Ascension.
For every 10 levels worth of AXP that your axie gains, you must ascend your axie before they'll be able to gain further AXP and levels. The Ascension process involves submitting an on-chain transaction, which syncs your axie's on-chain level attribute to their current level.
#### **Ascension Levels**
There are 6 ascension points at the moment \[levels 9, 19, 29, 39, and so on].
**1st Ascension: 1 to 10** > 13,310 total AXP needed, costs $0.50 of AXS to ascend
**2nd Ascension: 10 to 20** > 110,480 total AXP needed, costs $1.00 of AXS to ascend
**3rd Ascension: 20 to 30** > 334,170 total AXP needed, costs $1.50 of AXS to ascend
**4th Ascension: 30 to 40** > 701,300 total AXP needed, costs $2.00 of AXS to ascend
**5th Ascension: 40 to 50** > 1,223,670 total AXP needed, costs $2.50 of AXS to ascend
**6th Ascension: 50 to 60** > 1,910,670 total AXP needed, costs $3.00 of AXS to ascend
*Note: At the moment, you can only ascend your axie six times. This means that it will no longer gain any more AXP after it gets to Level 60, and cannot be ascended further until higher levels of ascension are unlocked.*
#### **How to Ascend an Axie**
There’s two options in ascending axies, depending on how many axies you want to ascend. If you’re only looking to ascend one axie, you can do a single ascension on the axie’s details page. Alternatively, you can also ascend up to 20 axies at the same time through the Axie Ascension page.
**Single Axie Ascension**
**Step 1:** Once the axie is ready for ascension, on the axie's details page, click the **Ascend** button.
**Step 2:** Click on **Ascend** axie, then confirm the transaction on your Ronin wallet.
**Step 3:** You'll then see your axie at their new level and with their new level cap.
**Multiple Axies - Batch Ascension**
**Step 1:** On the App.Axie website, click on the Axie Experiences button and go to **Axie Ascension**.
**Step 2:** Axies that are ready to ascend will be shown on the page. Select the axies that you would like to ascend and click on **Ascend Axies**.
**NOTE:** *You can only ascend up to 20 axies at a time.*
**Step 3:** The total AXS cost for ascending the axies will be shown. Click on **Ascend** and confirm the transaction with your wallet to finalize the ascension.
**NOTE:** *The transaction will use more RON than usual due to having more data on the transaction from the multiple ascensions.*
*When ascending multiple axies at the same time, the details for each ascension such as new level caps and Radiant Spirit Shell rewards \[for Mystic axies] will not be shown.*

You’ll then get a confirmation message, and your axies will reflect their new levels and level cap after a few minutes.
### **Part Evolution**
Ascending your axies is a crucial part of the axie progression system. Each axie ascension will allow you to evolve one part of the axie to level 2 parts, for a current maximum of three parts at the 3rd ascension.
An axie will be eligible to **evolve** parts for evolution by reaching certain levels:
* One part after it reaches level 10
* Two parts after it reaches level 20
* Three parts after it reaches level 30
* Four parts after it reaches level 40
* and so on...

### **Legacy EXP**
Experience Points gained by some axies from older axie experiences were converted to AXP in the new system. The Experience Points had been converted at a 1:1 ratio, which means these axies received 100% of their old Experience Points as AXP. Legacy EXP is capped at 35,156 EXP, which is equal to a max of 35,156 AXP when converted.

### **STEP 1: Create Ronin Wallet Account**
Before you begin your journey in Lunacia, you'll first need to create your own Ronin Wallet account. Fortunately, the process is straightforward and can be done either on your desktop (via browser Ronin extension) or mobile device (via Ronin mobile app). Start by installing your wallet from [here](https://wallet.roninchain.com/).
We have two options for creating a Ronin wallet account.
#### **OPTION 1: Create Ronin Wallet via Secret Recovery Phrase**
You can opt to create your Ronin Wallet via the traditional option of generating a secret recovery phrase. This method provides you with a wallet that can store multiple private keys (meaning you can generate multiple addresses within the same account). Be sure to store your secret recovery phrase in a safe and secure location, as it will be essential for accessing your wallet in the future.
#### **OPTION 2: Create Ronin Wallet via Social Login / Email**
You also have the option to create your Ronin Wallet using your social login / email address. This method allows for easy access and management of your wallet across different platforms without having the need to enter long sets of words from a secret recovery phrase. Instead, you will be asked to create your own recovery password for future access. Make sure to set up your recovery password properly to avoid losing access to your wallet.
Ronin wallets created via social login (Facebook, Apple, Gmail) or email generates a single address within your wallet. The generated address is bound to the email and cannot be disconnected by any means. Losing access to the email and recovery password will result in the loss of Ronin wallet access.

### **STEP 2: Setup your Mavis Account**
*Ronin wallets created via the social login / email and recovery password automatically syncs your profile with the Sky Mavis accounts service. You may skip STEP 2 if you have created your Ronin wallet via social login.*
We have two options to start setting up your account and start playing:
#### **OPTION 1: Set Up Your Account in App.Axie**
1. Go to [**App.Axie**](http://app.axieinfinity.com/). On the top right of the page, click on the **Log In** button.
2. Press the **Login with Ronin Wallet** button. The Ronin wallet will pop up asking you to sign a message; press the Confirm button.
3. Press the "Set up email & password" button to start verifying an email and password for your account. A confirmation code will be sent to your email.
4. Input the six-digit code sent to your email to finalize the process and complete the setup.
#### **OPTION 2: Set Up Your Account in Sky Mavis Accounts Management**
*The Sky Mavis Accounts Management site serves as a centralized accounts service for all games & apps within the Ronin ecosystem, meaning you can use the same accounts for all Ronin dApps. Accounts set up via App.Axie are automatically synced with the Sky Mavis Accounts Management.*
1. Go to the[ **Accounts Management Site**](https://accounts.skymavis.com/). It will direct you to the login page.
2. Click on **Continue with Ronin Wallet**.
3. Finish setting up your account by linking an email to your Ronin wallet.\
Here you are also able to bind your Google and Facebook to your account.
### **STEP 3: Get your NFTs in App.Axie!**
Almost there! One last crucial step before you begin diving into the games, what you need now is to get a hold of your very own NFT in the Axie Universe. Go to [**App.Axie**](http://app.axieinfinity.com/) to explore the NFT collections!
#### **What NFT Should I Purchase?**
To get you into the action, there are two main NFT collection assets that you can purchase to start playing Axie Infinity games.
**Axies**
* To play **Axie Classic**, you will need to have at least **three axies** in your Ronin wallet.
* To get the most rewarding experience in **Axie Origins**, you will want to use **three NFT axies** in battles.
* To get the best experience in **Project-T**, you will need to have at least **one axie** in your Ronin wallet.
* You may also utilize the NFT axies to play Axie Builder Program games and other Greenlight games.
**Land**
* To play **Homeland**, you will need to have a land NFT in your Ronin wallet. Once you are able to access the game, you may also play with your axies within Homeland!
* To play the **Axie Raylights** mini-game, you will need to have land in your Ronin wallet account.
